Besides the Let’s Meet-Up! board, you can also check in the Meet-up site, whether there are any upcoming gatherings in your area. If there are no scheduled events, you can organize a meet-up yourself and see how many Local Guides will join.
As you are new to Connect, please check out these tips for a good start:
