Today I went to Msheireb downtown for meet up that I hosted, unfortunately there was no one except me, meet up was scheduled for today at 1 p.m. I expected at least couple of local guides, but it’s fine I keep my chin up and moving forward in finding local guides for next time.
Nowadays Msheireb downtown is modern and new hub of social meet ups and gathering.
Also known as “smart city with soul” brand campaign.
Almost in every corner you can see advertising titles like “opening soon”, “coming soon” and its really fast developing city, first time I was here couple years ago when whole city was under constraction.
When i entered this downtown suddenly experienced feeling that I get somewhere out of Qatar but its not.
Everywhere clean, neat and cozy, relaxed, futuristic atmosphere within downtown.
Recommended to you visit it once you’re in Doha!
I am sorry to hear nobody attended your meet-up. It definitely looks like an interesting place to visit and I would have loved to be able to go around and take some nice photos of Msheireb Downtown Doha.
You might want to consider a virtual meet-up next time, which you can organize following these helpful Tips for hosting virtual meet-ups.
Perhaps I’ll host virtual one as well it’s much better as Qatar government urging citizens and residents to avoid meet up and gatherings, meanwhile vaccination against coronavirus is going well and near future gonna be fine to have meet ups, gatherings with over 15 participants (currently shouldn’t exceed 15)
Thanks for your answer, I agree with you: a virtual meet-up is a good idea especially in times like these ones, when we have to be very careful about our own and our beloved one’s safety and health.
You can also take a look at our Meet-ups board, see what virtual gathering is scheduled there and attend the ones of your interest so you can gain experience before you organize one yourself.
