Local Guides add immense value to Google Maps every day. Our series, Local Guides contributions spotlight, aims to bring you high-quality reviews and photos shared by Local Guides like you on the map. Each month, we focus on a new country to celebrate the diversity of our community.
This month, we visit the United Kingdom.
@LilyanaZ : This month, we’re loving Local Guide Mike Kelly’s review of the Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford. As an adult whose childhood was influenced by Harry Potter, once the holiday season nears, I cherish anything related to the series. Through their review, Mike gives important information about visiting the place, including the health protocols they follow. It’s also helpful that they mention the minimum time you should set aside to fully enjoy the magical experience. What I’d be looking forward to the most as a potential visitor is what will happen if I follow the tip at the end of Mike’s review.

@KlaudiyaG : The United Kingdom is known for its stunning Christmas markets that offer unique items, mouth-watering food, and a cozy atmosphere. To get into the holiday spirit, we’re shining the spotlight on Local Guide Paul Harrison’s photo of the Manchester Christmas Market. It shows the market from the inside: beautifully decorated wooden booths that line the walking path and adorable pine-shaped tables where folks can enjoy a snack or a drink sheltered from the weather. Details like hand sanitizers and signage add to the value of Paul’s photo.
Do you celebrate Christmas? What are some of the places you visit when it’s safe to do so or things you do around this time of the year?
