LOCAL GUIDES, BOND OVER A BOWL OF SALAD

The  bonding food

If there is something I would miss when the ‘lockdown’ is finally called off, it would be the quality ‘Bonding time’ spent with other amazing Local Guides over the past eight weeks on Connect!

Today, I was about having my bowl of Vegetable Salad when I realized that; the ingredients which make up my Vegetable Salad;

  1. Cabbage
  2. Carrot
  3. Green Peas
  4. Sweet Corn
  5. Salad Cream

reminds me of what life is like on here at Connect.

This is the most basic way I love to have my Vegetable Salad. Other days when I do not feel like having it so plainly, I add Rotini, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Lettuce and Egg.

DO THESE INGREDIENTS REMIND YOU OF LIFE HERE ON CONNECT?

Today, I looked down at my bowl and realized that;

  • The Carrot and Cabbage which are cultivated in Nigeria are like us; the Local Guides. As many as we are, no matter where and how far we travel, we all ‘come’ from a particular place and are ‘natives’ of that place.
  • The Processed Canned Sweet Corn and Green Peas are like some of the Local Guides here who have been ‘processed’ through ‘exposure’ to life; education, travel, professional experience, etc… These products have been processed so they are able to give a better taste and stay longer and fresher following exposure. Some of us on Connect are like that; we have travelled, explored the world, mingled with all categories of people, we are properly schooled, we have a lot of Professional experience, we are civilized, sophisticated, are better able to withstand pressure, have sophisticated survival tactics, have refined and polished instincts, etc. We make Connect ‘pop’ with colors.
  • The Salad Cream. Wait, before I continue, do you have your salad without cream? I don’t know. I always have my Salad with Cream. As I was saying, the Salad Cream reminds me of the Google Team that has been gracious enough to provide this platform, ensuring that we come together as a team to make the world (our Stomachs) a better place. :grin: :grinning:

Are you ready to bond with me over a bowl of salad? let’s go… Now, enjoy a bowl of Salad with me and it’s Cheers to a happy bonding time on Connect!

I am sorry but if you haven’t met my friend, then, you haven’t met anyone important fromOdisha :roll_eyes:

He was the one who told me that; “Odisha is the ‘Soul of India’” and that in India, guests are treated as ‘gods’ which I have felt even during the ‘Virtual Meet Ups’.

It was because of my friend @DebadattaMeher that I warmed up to the idea of coming to ‘India’. I want to be treated like a god, all day, everyday, please! :hugs: @SarveswarB

It’s best to plant your own vegetables! At least, that way you are sure you are eating Organic food. I intend doing that when I settle properly

Hey @Ewaade_3A

Food knows no boundary and your post is a perfect example. I wasn’t aware of this beautiful meaning of salads. Even, I love Salads the most.

Here is a picture of Bell pepper’s salad which i prepared few days ago.

And this one is what i named bowl full of surprises, as this is a blend of various flavours.

Thanks for sharing.

Happy Connecting. :smile:

Oh My Gosh! @Ewaade_3A

We really are sisters ! I literally love having salads at my dinner and that beautiful description with those ingredients to this community. I am a true Fan of your writing.

That’s my bowl of salads. A bit touch of sprouts and coriander. I love having my salad with curd and the fresh lime juice that makes it even more tastier.

I know that second post; the ‘dancing food’. I stared so long at it and wondered the same thing I still wonder now; “what exactly is your intention?” I know that feeling; “Your post says; 'eat! it’s never too late! Forget about exercising” :rofl:

Lovely posts, brother @VinayKrishna
