I took this photo while having breakfast at the famous Sri Sairam Parlour restaurant in Visakhapatnam during my 2018 trip. It was a very casual shot and I never imagined it to become my most viewed Star photo on Google Maps. This picture was shot on my Samsung galaxy S9 plus phone.

North 18 Lounge,Kochi, Ernakulam, India
A tranquil evening settled over the local bar, where the soft glow of dimmed lights bathed the rustic wooden interior in a warm, amber hue. The gentle murmur of conversations floated through the air, punctuated occasionally by the clink of glasses and the soft hum of the jukebox playing an old, familiar tune. Nestled in a cozy corner, I savored the smooth, frothy pint before me, each sip a perfect blend of bitterness and refreshment. The atmosphere was inviting, the bar’s tales etched into its modern walls, and the camaraderie among patrons created an unspoken bond. As I sat there, the world outside by the busy railway station seemed to fade away, leaving only the simple pleasure of a quiet evening spent in good company, with an ordinary beer in hand.
This image was captured on a Samsung mobile phone. A simple point and click shot. Though this isn’t the best image I have captured, this one has the most views.
One of many stores of X-KOM located in Lublin, the most popular computer stores in Poland. The photo was so popular because it was the main photo of this place for a long time. It’s not my best photo, it’s just the most popular one.
Sitio da Nazaré, Nazaré, Portugal
While in Nazaré for work, I took advantage of a perfect summer morning to explore the town before starting the day. After a quick breakfast, I grabbed my Huawei P20 and wandered to the Sítio da Nazaré. The iconic gazebo stood out against the bright blue sky, and with the calm morning light, I knew I had to capture it. Snapped a shot that perfectly summed up the peaceful vibe of the town before heading off to work. Simple moments, but the best ones.
It was taken in late November on a cold winter evening. The city is beautiful during the day, but at night it takes on a whole new perspective as its monuments and buildings are illuminated. I took advantage of the excellent night mode on my Pixel phone which captured the scene perfectly.
Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa
Voilaaa… my star photo in 2024 is this one!
As you can see, Museum of New Zealand or Te Papa Tongarewa in te reo Māori, is indeed a famous landmark in Aotearoa. Being the National Museum of New Zealand, it houses amazing collections, stories, displays, and experience that will cater the interests of young and old. I have to admit I keep coming back and forth here to enjoy their exhibitions, especially regarding the history of the nation and . This is not my best photo but I was lucky to capture it properly. This point-and-click shot was taken with my old iPhone XR with no edit.
Finally manage to update my data @AdamGT and hope it works well this time

Downtown Houston skyline, Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
I consider this photo one of my finest examples of “urban combat” Google Maps photography! I was passing through downtown Houston on I-10 at a high rate of speed, had just entered an elevated exit ramp when I noticed the sudden striking confluence of view, perspective, and fine weather… with mere seconds to get the shot, I grabbed my Samsung S23 Ultra cell phone off the dash, double-clicked power to bring up the camera app, and elevated it through the sunroof. One more second to orient and steady, waiting for the perfect line-up, and SNAP - the perfect shot. All while negotiating the heavy rush hour traffic, and keeping my eyes on the curving road! Ice under pressure, boys and girls, its the secret of success.
Sunny July morning at the top of Mt Scott at Crater Lake National Park, Oregon, USA. I took this picture after finishing the hiking trail to the top of this mountain, from which there are incredible view of the crater lake. This photo was taken with a Huawei P20 pro phone, Leica camera, in July 2019.

In 2018, I visited Kedarnath and stayed overnight at this hotel, which wasn’t listed on Google Maps at the time. Despite being very close to Kedarnath, it offered special packing services and was a convenient starting point for the Kedarnath trek. They also provided food. this star was taken with my Android based moto-g smartphone. this is not my best photo,it Was this just click shot.
Dunumala Waterfall, Galapitamada, Sri Lanka
I have been to this place several times. It is a natural waterfall that flows through a beautiful forest. As I can remamber, this photo was taken with my Samsung Note 8 and just a point and click shot. In the past, this place was hidden from everyone, but now, thanks to Local Guides like us, everyone can see her beauty.
Caption: This picture shows the auditorium of a High School, but the students are actually the audience. On stage there is a choir and they’re about to start a concert. Uploaded to Maps around August 2023 and taken with a Motorola Edge 30 Neo
History behind this pic:
Once upon a time there was this choir (in which I’ve been singing for 8 years) and in 2023 we were given a heroic mission: to spread classical music among High School (Prepa) students of UNAM. Here in MX classical music is not quite famous nor popular among young students, so for us this was a challenge.
I took this picture on the very first show of this “tour” when I arrived to the auditorium and the last details were being prepared. Prepa 5 turned out to be a nice place with a lot of facilities for students.

I added a hospital on Google Maps and went to take photos. I talked to the staff and doctor there and took permission to post and add to maps.
I took this photo while returning from there. The photo that was clicked accidentally but became the most viewed photo.
