This is a photo of a beautiful 1972 Buick Skylark in front of Adidas Originals Flagship Store in Soho, New York City, taken on 2020-09-09 with iPhone 11 and uploaded a year after on 2021-09-23. Two guys with masks, holding a bag with Veja shoes reminded me that it was the time of the Covid-19 pandemic and streets were still almost empty.

Museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa
Enjoying 2024 so far and this is (still) my star photo at Google Maps.
As you can see, Museum of New Zealand or Te Papa Tongarewa in te reo Māori, is indeed a famous landmark in Aotearoa New Zealand. Being the National Museum of New Zealand, it houses amazing collections, stories, displays, and experience that will cater the interests of young and old. I have to admit, while I live in Wellington, I keep coming back and forth here to enjoy their exhibitions, especially regarding the history of the nation and more exhibitions they have. This is not my best photo but I was lucky to capture it properly from the front part of the museum. This point-and-click shot was taken with my old iPhone XR with no edit.
p.s.: I notice that the view does not add up in the last 3 months huhu…

The photo was a cover photo of the Adidas Originals Flagship Store page for two years but lost its place a few months ago. Since then, there have been no significant changes in views. However, it still stays as a Star Photo with the most views in my photo album.

Place: Smaranika Tram Museum, Kolkata, India
Photo Details: This is an image of the Smaranika Tram Museum, located in Esplanade, Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal. This place depicts the rich history of light rail transport services operating in this city for the last 150 years! It was in the year 1873, when the ruling British government introduced horse-drawn carriages in this city which served as the capital of British India back then. In the year 1902, first electric tramways operations began here which is still operational till this date. In fact, the tram service of Kolkata is the oldest tram network operating in whole of Asia.
The Smaranika museum was established in Esplanade to depict this history and heritage where an old tram from the past has been used itself to act as the makeshift museum. The coaches of the tram holds many different artifacts, paintings, photographs and devices that tell the stories of transition and technological advancement over time, as applied to operate the tram network. I clicked the photo from the front of the tram engine, and tried to capture the whole length of the car in my frame. The photo was captured in May 2022, but uploaded late on April 2023, however, it has received lots of love and views on Google Maps with 4.5 million views already on it!

Eilat Coral Beach Nature Reserve - Eilat Israel
My star photo is an underwater photo of the corals in the reserve taken with my underwater photography equipment back in August 2022.
I use a Meikon Housing with a Canon G7x camera.
This is certainly not my first image and I love taking underwater images.

This quick snapshot of a random hardware store in my former neighborhood has been my Star Photo for the last four YEARS . I’ve visited here a few times to purchase the odd screwdriver or lawn rake, and from all I know there is nothing special about this location. No one famous used to work here; no henius crime was committed. It’s just a well-stocked, medium sized hardware store with a glass window and storefront. There must be over a hundred local businesses just like this one in the greater Boston area.
Nevertheless, this is once again my Star Photo for 2024!

Getting dinner with lifelong friends just outside of Boston MA is how this photo came to be. We showed up early for drinks, stayed for dinner, and to our surprise a pianist walked in, the lights dimmed, and he began playing halfway through service. Such an unforgettable experience with some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Photo taken with a Samsung Galaxy S10.
