Local guide to mysterious Eesti Lighthouses

Estonia is a small country at Baltic sea. Small but proud, and extremely beautiful, with it’s nordic climate and nature.

Here you can walk on swamp trails, amazing pine forests, or in hungreed more places. I love to share this, and let people know how it’s cool to discover country for yourself.

One of my favorite places to go, is lighthouses. They always covered on fairy tale mist in my imagination. Picture small house, with fairplace and sea view, and near this little house, big tower is located. At night, you would see how powerful torch blinking, to tell to the ships, that danger is ahead.

Nowadays, a lot of lighthouses is just a reminder of great service they did, modern ships can work without them. But this giant keep their watch in the dark.

That’s what I like about them, taste of mystery and years, decades of loyal service of lighthouse and lighthouse keeper. It always come to my mind, as something I want to try, this way of living where you alone with the sea and your lighthouse, there is plenty of time for thinking, writing, working.

In Estonia, there is special programm, where you can collect all lighthouses in Lighthouse lover passport. Great idea, that helps not only visit all lighthouses, but also read their history and collect “golden” coins with their image!

This let me discover country for myself, and share my thought and discoveries through Google Local guides.
