I started contributing to google maps less than a year ago and I have been enjoying it from Day 1. I love sharing photos of the places I visit and answeing to the questions related to accessibility whenever I visit a place. Because, people now really care about the facilities available at a place before visiting it. So, they look for photos and review of a place they are planning to visit. So it makes total sense to answer questions about entry fee, parking lot, restrooms, public transport availability, wheelchair accessible entrance, food options, opening timings and so on at a place. Also, sharing good and visually appealing photos help people to have an imagination about a place and have a positive feeling which is necessary before visiting a place. So far, I have mostly reviewed tourist places and restaurants and I am really happy about the response I have been receiving in the form of views and likes and it is encouraging me to contribute more and more to Google Maps.
Since smartphones have become more accessible now, most people are using google maps in their day to day life. And, also they read review of a place like restaurants, hotels, shopping centres before visiting them and reviews really matter now. So it is indeed a pleasure in making someone happy by helping them find what they’re looking for. Sharing is caring. Cheers.
