This is Niraj Vithani. I am at level 6, but when I got the invitation for the LG 2018 Event, I was at Level 5. First of all, I would like to Thank Google for An amazing opportunity to get connected with the Local guides all around the world.
I was in India studying in high school, when I became a local guide for Google.
Until I got the invitation for LG 2018, I did not even know that something like this even exists. I didn’t know that me as a Local Guide can receive rewards for doing my Favorite thing which is taking photos and posting it on Google Maps.
I am a Bachelor Student living in Germany At the moment. Because of that I get to visit a lot of places that I have never seen. I would like to share one experience here. Recently i went to Windberg for an excursion from my university. The place that we visited was on Google maps and as soon as I arrived there, my phone pops and gets me notified that I can review and add photos of the place. Furthermore, I was the first one to review that place. We were there for 3 days. The person who was handling everything over there thanked me for the review that I have posted on maps. That moment was really amazing for me and inspired me more to contribute on Google Maps.

I am really exited to meet all the guides at LG 2018.
