I had this app downloaded from the play store " local guide assistant". It took information from Google maps and delivered it in a way that could be see clearly how many veiws you were getting, how many upvotes…
It suddenly stopped working and disappeared from the play store.
Is anyone familiar with the app? And where did it go?
@Aron_R The one of the left doesn’t look legit, so I would be very careful if the app is asking personal, sensitive information. The fact that it’s now gone from the Play Store definitely sounds concerning. It’s definitely not an official app. Have you entered any username and password for that particular app? If yes, I highly suggest changing password for all apps that are using the same login.

I remember that app. It was benign as far as I know, and it pulled public data from Google Maps servers. It was not an app from Google.
Most likely it stopped working as Google made is less easy to pull such data.
I doubt it is still available.
