Sylhet has some spectacular places to visit. Highlighted places are tea gardens, mountains, natural fountains, some historic religious spots like a mosque, Majar etc. However, if you get out from the busy life and have some time in the mountains, spectacular green canal and within trees then you definitely should choose Nazimgarh Wilderness Resort. It is one of those places where they went with nature without destroying it by making wooden rooms with a steel structure. They didn’t cut down the hills rather used it for decoration and to give a touch of nature. They have every facility in the rooms and some extras like boat ride in the Lala khal canal, kayaking, indoor and outdoor sports, cycling etc. You will really love to walk in the in the hills during the morning and later nights.
Rooms will be expansive and hard to find in the long weekends. So you should have booking beforehand to ensure the stay. I really loved the manager over there but service from the restaurant is pretty slow. Tray to grab some offer while you think about the booking. Pool is not exquisite here. As they never warm up the water so it will be very hard to use during the winter. Foods over there has excellent taste and palatable for everyone due to
It is placed just at the bank of Lala khal and close to the Indian border. The resort is 52 km away from the airport and 43 km from the Sylhet town. There are some local buses that will take you to the resort if it is a family tour then better to travel in a car. The resort offers pickup and drop service with the payment around 3500 BDT and per night rooms will cost you 12000 BDT. It will be better to look for a valid offer which will decrease the cost. They accept credit cards and cash both not check.
The spot looks like piece of heaven, @imran1986 . Thank you for sharing. The view in all the photos is a celebration of romance. Did you take any shots of the tea gardens and the mountains? I’m sure the whole area is worth the attention.
Thank you for sharing these great photos and the information provided. I love the place and how they managed to decorate it in a way that people and nature could interact in a perfect way.
If I ever happen to visit this place, my favourite spot would be at the outdoor swing chairs. I would love to have my coffee there.
Did you visit this resort for a special occasion or just wanted to find the perfect spot to relax?
Thank you @MoniDi. Really appreciate your support and wish you have a visit there. That swing is awesome and you can have coffee/tea anywhere you want. But being in a swing with a coffee cup will really set a different mood.
I was searching for a new spot for the vacation last week and suddenly I came to know about this place. So we (me 7 my wife) went there with a sudden booking and had an excellent weekend. More than half of the guests are foreigner over there. We guess due to its tight security and exceptional placement.
It’s a good spot to relax, indeed, @imran1986 . Do you visit such often? Feel free make a post for the community for all sorts of locations that bring pleasure to your soul.
Yeah I do travel a lot whenever I get chance from my work. I will share those and will try to help others from my experience to face less hassle in their travel.
