I have several times to visit here and every time I feel free and enjoyed a lot. By religion I’m a Muslim (thanks Allah Almighty) so I try to select that time when offering prayer in this mosque. This mosque is a major tourist attraction in Pakistan, Islamabad in specific, and is referred as a modern-day and significant feature of Islamic architecture.
The Faisal Mosque (فیصل مسجد) is a mosque in Islamabad , Pakistan . It is located on the slopes of Margalla Hills in Islamabad . This mosque features a modern design consisting of eight sides of concrete shell Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan and it’s covered with greenery.
For those who want to go there, I want to share my experience and suggestions.
- Transport: You can use mobile applications like Uber, Careem but it need internet connection during your ride (From your hotel/bus station to Faisal Mosque) because there is no local bus service for this route.
- Food: If you’re short of money, pack cold drinks, lays, and anything which you like for eat.
- If you are crazy about photos then get a power bank as devices run out of charge because their lot of scenes that you don’t want to miss.
- Get tripod if you want to capture fabulous shots of Faisal Masque and surrounding areas (you can’t find rental tripod on this place)
- Routes/Accommodation: Selection about your routes (more important if you not enough money to spend) taking into account your accommodation. For me, it was much easier to live because my relative live in this city but If you are not lucky like me then you should live out of the town, like Rawalpindi.
Keep smiling
