When reviewing a super centre or a big chain store. And you dont have many good things or bad things to say about the business … Add details such as " closest to the airport" “beside a dollar store” or beside the CIBC bank, . Leave landmarks for people in your reviews, so when they google walmart closest to the airport. . Your review will be so helpful and it will come up more .
Hi @Sandilicous ,
Thanks for sharing!
I’d like to let you know, that I’m moving your post to the How-tos section and you can share even more tips how to share useful reviewes.
Hi @Sandilicous ,
If you don’t have something good or bad to say about a place, I think you should not leave a review.
Google Maps will show the excate location on the map it self so mentioning landmarks would not be really helpful where I live. Here every place has an easily understandable physical street address. Street name plus a house number on that street.
I know this is not always the case. And in some areas it is very normal to navigate mainly using landmarks. But is Google Maps not helping you to find places better without using landmarks?
All the best

Thanks for your feedback I like to leave a review for every place that shows up on my timeline… well I have been to every walmart in my city. So instead of just saying yeah its just like all of the others, I’ll explain what type of area it’s in, or the construction barriers. So not just landmarks but more then just the stores values itself. If that makes sence
Hi again @Sandilicous ,
I believe I understand perfectly what you are proposing and writing. But that is not the same as agreeing. Leaving reviews on every place on your time line is not advisable. I would then get to review places that I did not even buy something from or test their service.
Please consider reading this post by @ermest about increasing the helpfulness of what we are posting on Google Maps.
I noticed plenty of issues on the photos on your public profile.
And I still have to disagree with leaving short reviews to all walmarts in an area.
All the best
Hello @Sandilicous
We share the first-person experience in a review. Like so, even if a place appears in your timeline simply because you were passers-by, you shouldn’t review that.
Further, all supermarkets are standardized. Even then, every individual store will have something unique in terms of the experience. The readers will be looking for that precisely.
