Lawachhara National Park is one of the national parks of Bangladesh and a significant specimen of the remaining evergreen forest. It is a protected forest. It is one of the 6 wildlife sanctuaries and 10 national parks in Bangladesh. Located in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar district, the forest covers an area of ​​1250 hectares and is rich in biodiversity.The government of Bangladesh declared this forest as a ‘National Park’ in 1997. This forest is famous for endangered apes. In addition to apes, there are a variety of rare species of animals, insects and plants.Lawachhara forest is one of the famous forests of Bangladesh. In terms of acquaintance, the location of the forest of Lauyachhara is after the Sundarbans. This forest is located in Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar district in Sylhet division. When the then British government planted trees here in 1925, it grew into today’s forest.
