🛍️ Law Garden Market, Ahmedabad – A Colourful Shopping Fiesta 🛍️

If there’s one place in Ahmedabad where colours, culture, and chaos come together beautifully – it’s Law Garden Market!

During my recent visit, I was amazed at how vibrant and full of life this place is! From traditional chaniya cholis, embroidered kediyas, kurtas, sparkling bangles, and handcrafted jholas, to decorative home items – you get everything from head to toe here. :tada::woman_dancing:

:dress: A Shopping Heaven for Ladies (and Gents too!)

  • This place is a paradise for ladies – sarees, lehengas, dupattas, accessories, footwear – all in one place!
  • Even foreign tourists flock here to grab traditional Gujarati wear – it’s truly a hot destination for cultural shopping :globe_showing_europe_africa:
  • Just a month before Navratri (the world’s longest 9-night dance festival :woman_dancing::man_dancing:), the market explodes with colour and crowd – offering a huge variety of festive wear for both men & women!
  • :horse: You can even enjoy horse and horse cart rides nearby, which adds a desi fair-like charm to the experience!

:camera_with_flash: What I Loved:

  • :sparkles: Ambience: Lights, buzz, traditional music in the background – it’s a vibe!
  • :money_with_wings: Prices: Budget-friendly – but don’t forget to haggle
  • :nazar_amulet: Vibe: Authentic Gujarati warmth and culture – you’ll feel it in the air!
  • :camera: Captured so many colourful clicks

:fork_and_knife: Foodies, Don’t Miss This:

Right beside the market is Happy Street, full of food carts :pot_of_food::oden: – though I personally found hygiene a concern, it’s a paradise for adventurous eaters.

:p_button: Parking & Tips:

  • Paid parking on hourly basis – gets full quickly during evenings, so plan ahead!
  • No need to carry cash :dollar_banknote:, each shopkeeper and even laariwalas accepts UPI Payment, wear comfy shoes :running_shoe:, and keep hands free for all the shopping bags!

:automobile: How to Reach Law Garden:

  • :airplane: From Ahmedabad Airport (AMD) – ~11 km / 25 mins by cab or rickshaw
  • :bus: From Gita Mandir Bus Port – ~4.5 km / 15 mins
  • :station: From Ahmedabad Railway Station – ~6 km / 20 mins

:speech_balloon: Have you been to Law Garden? What did you buy?
:round_pushpin: Read my Google Maps review here:

@Ssiddharth2000 Thank you for your kind words.

Yes, the area is known as Law Garden because a Gujarat Law Society office is located nearby, and a garden developed by the local authorities was named after it. Over the years, the area has become well known for its market, which is now popularly referred to as the Law Garden Market.
