I visited Lavasa early morning around 5:30 AM. The entry opens at 6, ticket was ₹200. Still dark, still quiet — and honestly, that ride down the hills into the city? Pure magic.
I know people say Lavasa is an “abandoned project” or a “failed dream” — and maybe that’s true on paper. But when you’re there, riding around those clean, curvy roads with Dasve Lake shining beside you… you just feel something else.
Yes, it’s incomplete. But that’s what makes it special. There’s a strange calm in the air. No crowd, no noise — just you, the mountains, and a city that feels like it’s stuck in time.
I roamed around the whole city on my bike. Saw the Lavasa International Convention Centre, rode past colorful buildings, clicked a few pictures near the lake. Christ University is also there, looks beautiful. And despite everything, people still live here — local food joints, veggie shops, ration stores… life goes on.
If you’re someone who needs loud places, parties, or big tourist vibes — maybe skip it. But if you love peace, early morning drives, and places with stories… go. You won’t regret it.
Tip: Go in the morning. Sunset is meh here, but sunrise? Feels like the mountains are whispering to you.
Lavasa might not be what it was meant to be — but for me, it’s a place I’ll remember. Highly recommend visiting at least once.
