For any kind of pictures or paintings a particular medium is used. Examples are colour pencils, crayons, oil pastels, water colours, acrylic paint etc. etc.
For Typewriter Art, typewriter is the medium. The picture below is done by me using a typewriter.
This I have done in a typewriter by typing letters for the letters and symbols for the border lines.
I have done around 45 pictures using typewriter. I have displayed my works in galleries and exhibitions. Press Here to look at my creations and exhibitions.
The above picture is done using bichrome ribbon, means a double colour ribbon.
It takes so much of time and effort to complete one painting. Below this picture is halfway during typing.
This kind of art takes some days and months to complete. Also it needs to be extremely cautious. Unlike computers, in a typewriter once typed is typed. It cannot be deleted. Typing should be done without errors. Otherwise the whole painting will go waste.
My interest in art and passion for typewriters gave me the perseverance to create these paintings.
Once done with a successful painting, I feel a sense of accomplishment and happy.
