Last week one of my senior come from Japan and he want to visit historical place near dhaka.
I visit some place and one of them was Lalbagh Fort.
It was fully sunny day and we visited noon time.
Lalbagh Fort is an incomplete Mughal fort complex that stands before the Buriganga Rivar in Dhaka.
Short History of Lalbagh Fort.
The Mughal Prince Muhammad Azam Shah, 3rd son of Aurangzeb started this fort work on 1678. But he did not complete and return back. After that Shaista Khan take charge or this area. In 1684 his daughter named Iran Dukht Pari Bibi dided there. After her death, he started to think this is an unlucky fort and he left the fort incomplete. So that you can see the incomplete fort.
The fort considered three part.

The Mosque: The mosque has three domes and is relatively small for a large site. The mosque is not so big.
The Tomb of Pori Bibi:
Pari Bibi was daughter Subahdar Shaista Khan. He full name was Iran Dukht Pari Bibi. In 1684 Paribibi death here. After his death Subahdar Shaista khan left this fort complex.
The diwan-i-Azam:
The Mughal governor of Bengal redidence was Diwan-i-Azam. It located on the east side of the complex.
