The Lakhota Palace was built in the mid-19th century by King Ranmal-II of Navanagar. The small Lakhota palace placed in the center of the Lakhota lake was the original seat of its rulers. The lake was constructed for irrigation as needed. The lake protects the palace as a fortress if attacked.

The palace also has a small museum with antique sculptures from the 9th to 18th centuries, pottery of the medieval ages, and small firearms. The walls of the mural are dotted with murals depicting scenes of past battles fought by the Jadeja Rajputs. The museum showcases Cannons, a skeleton of a whale, swords, powder flasks, possessions of Jadeja Rajputs, etc.

Standing in the middle of the lake, the location of the palace is brilliant. The lake is frequented by various local and migratory birds. About 75 species of bird species have been reported; the presence of plains, pelicans, gulls, and ducks in the center of the city makes it very attractive. A beautiful view of the lake, palace, and amazing birds can be enjoyed by walking along the paved road or sitting on the benches around Lakhota Lake. The delicious food nearby will complement the experience by pleasing your taste buds.
@NareshDarji you clicked nice. Being a local, please allow me to add some details and a small alteration in your post. The palace was never an original seat, but a summer palace. It was built during draught to support people financially by providing work and was cost some lakh koris, a local currency, that’s why it calls Lakhota. Also, the palace was a safe house for royal family in the time of attack on the state. The canons are posted on the walls of the palace to protect from outsiders. Once, both the roads have wooden path of 20 feet which can be uplifted in emergency, so that horses too could not jump in. The palace had a unique drinking water facility which is still working. There are two halls in the floor of which by blowing air in one hall, you get water from the other one. This is still working and you can see it. It is situated beside the bust of Jam Ranji.
