L’Aeròdrom de Tapioles és un tresor amagat de la Guerra Civil Espanyola a Tortellà. Construït el 1938, aquest camp d’aviació republicà va ser clau en els darrers mesos de la Guerra Civil, acollint avions soviètics com els Mosca i Xato, que donaven cobertura a la retirada cap a l’exili.
El més sorprenent? Encara s’hi conserva un refugi antiaeri subterrani, un testimoni mut d’aquells dies difícils.
Avui, gràcies a l’*Associació Tapioles de Vol, aquest espai ha renascut com a aeròdrom esportiu i centre de memòria històrica. Cada any s’hi ret homenatge als pilots republicans amb exhibicions aèries i activitats culturals.
