Kunj A new hub for sustainable fashion and handicrafts

Hey, everyone!

I’m back with another recommendation and this time, it’s a real gem. I recently had the amazing opportunity to attend the Legacy of Craft at Kunj - A uniquely different Fashion Show, a brand-new initiative by the Ministry of Textiles and Handicrafts. I was blown away by the incredible creativity and the sheer beauty of the designs.

The show was a powerful showcase of how sustainable textiles can be transformed into high fashion. Renowned designers masterfully used materials like khadi, chikankari, and even leather to create stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. The collection was diverse, featuring everything from elegant sarees and traditional suits to modern co-ord sets and stylish jackets. It was so inspiring to see how each design told a unique story of craftsmanship and sustainability.

More Than Just a Legacy of Craft - A Fashion Show

Beyond the runway, Kunj’s commitment to sustainability was visible everywhere. The architecture of the building is absolutely gorgeous, and every single shop focuses on eco-friendly products. I was particularly impressed by the ground floor, where the stunning decorations were made entirely from reusable waste metals and paper. It was a testament to how creativity and environmental consciousness can go hand in hand.

The event was also incredibly well-organized. The team made sure every guest felt welcomed and taken care of, providing us with packaged water and a thoughtful goodies bag that included a brochure and two beautiful terracotta mugs. Their hospitality was truly top-notch.

A Few More Details to Help You Plan Your Visit

Kunj is a great place for everyone, offering a wide range of amenities. There are several food stalls on the ground floor with reasonably priced snacks like samosas, patties, and vada sambhar.

Here’s what you need to know before you go:

  • Wheelchair :wheelchair_symbol: accessibility: Yes, and they have accessible parking too!
  • Parking: Paid parking is available both inside and outside the mall.
  • Location: It’s located right next to Ambience Mall.
  • Family-friendly: Yes, it’s great for kids.
  • Inclusivity: It’s an LGBTQIA+ friendly space.
  • Facilities: The washrooms on the first and second floors were clean and well-maintained. Lifts and escalators are also available.
  • Pet-friendly: Absolutely not, so leave your furry friends at home.

I had such a fantastic time and will definitely be returning soon. Kunj isn’t just a place to shop; it’s an experience that celebrates tradition, creativity, and sustainability.
