Kundalpur is located in District Vaishali Bihar India. It’s a Jain Pilgrimage as Bhagwan Mahaveer who Born here in 599 BCE in a Royal family. His father Siddharth was the King and Mother Queen Trishala were the ruler of Kundagram of Nath Dynasty which was founded by the first Tirthankar Lord Adinath according to the ancient religious texts.
He was the 24th Tirthankar and was free from love and hate.
I had visited this religious pilgrimage with my wife in August 2017 by Car. It was a long tour and I enjoyed the historical and religious heritage.
Bhagwan Mahaveer who renounced the royal comforts and embraced the painful meditative practices. After 12 years he attained the infinite knowledge mean omniscience at the bank of river Rijubalika close to the Jrimbhikagrama. His first disciples were 11 Brahmins and the Head was Indrabhuti. He traveled throughout the Indo Gangtic Plain to preach the religion. He delivered 55 sermons to his followers in his life before Nirvana on 13th Moon Day of Chaitra. His teachings are known as Gani Pigama.
He is best known for his five teachings
Ahimsa Non-violence It was taught that respect should be given to the purity and dignity of every living being. This applies to action, speech and thinking.
Satya truthfulness apply to oneself as well as to others.
Asteya non-stealing never wish something that was not given.
Brahmcharya chastity The monks refrain from sexual intercourse and sensual pleasure, and those with a great life remain faithful to each other.
Aparigraha non-attachment teaches that there should not be any attachments with worldly things for Commons and Mendicant should not own any thing.
According to the National legend a noble award winner Rabindranath Tagore Mahavira proclaimed in India that religion is a reality and not a mere social convention. It is really true that salvation can not be had by merely observing external ceremonies. Religion cannot make any difference between man and man.
His Birth is celebrated as Mahaveer Jankalyanak and Diwali to mark his Nirvana on the same day of Diwali.
This visit was really spiritual and we love the environment and calmliness.
