Kundala dam & lake is located in Munnar district of Kerala around 20 away from Munnar town at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level. This picturesque kundala Lake is sourrounded by green valley’s and landscapes. The pristine and unpolluted air, cool environment leaves you feel refreshed and rejuvenated. The lake is famous for Shikhari boat service as one can see in Kashmir. This boating would be memorable specialy for couples as it would same experience that one can feel in kashmir on your honeymoon trip. Those tall eucalyptus trees add beauty to lake view. It’s indeed lap of nature.
Beautiful photos, appreciate, very much. Wow… Well written brief too…
( Incidentally, did you mean memorable SPECIALTIES for couples, in your post - you can edit your post, for the benefits of all).
Dear, it is a good practice to TAG, few like minded people, in any post.
How to TAG?
Use ‘@’ before the ID of a person. (Eg; I can be tagged by using @TravellerG and I will get notification to see your post - hope I am clear.
Also, if you don’t mistake me, kindly have a look at Photography tips, I have written - you can excel you shots much better - like some of your shots are really good, but could have been better, if you could have used HDR or AF/AE Lock, etc. The details are given in this LINK.
Hope you will consider my comment in the right spirit,
The Kundala lake looks very amazing and mesmerizing. When did you visit it? Is it located in Kashmir region? It is a dream of mine to go and visit that place.
P.S.: Keep in mind that we don’t encourage tagging too many people as it is considered as harassment.
@TsekoV Kundala lake is in Munnar, but similar environment, senic beauty as Kashmir. Also, you get same boat riding at Kundala, as what you in Kashmir.

Your photos are great and Kundala dam looks like a very nice for a boat walk! Thanks for sharing the beauty of this place with us. Is it allowed to go fishing in the lake? I haven’t seen an eucalyptus tree and I’m really happy I’ve learnt something new
That was very good to know. Thanks a lot for the information. In my country Bulgaria, there are also some rules and restrictions for fishing which can vary from season to season.
Now that it is very rare to find a place where the air is clean and there is no pollution, the Kundala Lake should be appreciated by both locals and tourists.
Fun fact, I didn’t know eucalyptus exists in other parts of the world except Australia. Your post enlightened me.
In Southern parts of India in States of Tamilnadu, Kerala and in Karnataka you can find Eucalyptus. This is abundant in Hill regions of Kerala & Tamilnadu.
Thanks for sharing @aaryesdee please don’t @tag Connect Moderators or Google Moderators in your posts unless you have an urgent issue. We live in notification hell :).
We fully understand your pressures and efforts to make all of us happy; also, feel your responsibility and imagine the frustrations, which (may happen, rarely - but when it happens), you may have to handle it alone.
There aren’t very many frustrations @TravellerG most of the time interacting with Local Guides and learning what they do and where they go is really great fun. There is the occasional person that is a bit “interesting”. When that happens the Googlers are extremely supportive of the volunteers, we never have to worry.
