Kumbh Mela 2019: The Largest Confluence of Humans in the World

Kumbha Mela 2019, held in Prayagraj, India, during the months of January 2019 till 4th March 2019, saw a staggering 15 crore people flocking the place to dip into the holy waters of the river Ganges. This Kumbha was by far, the best ever organized mela, giving immense focus on health, sanitation and well-being of the visitors. People from all over the country and beyond made it a point to come and take a dip in the Ganges.

What’s more important was that River Ganges was kept completely clean even after so many people bathed in it. I was completely astounded by the magnitude of the event that was spread across 40 sq. kms.

Here are some snaps from the event captured by me:

Hello @PrateekAgarwal nice post. However as suggested to me by one of the google moderators do give more descriptions…

However the information given was good. and yes I do also have heard that the arrangements this year were fantastic and even tough there were 15 cr visitors no major accidents happened. The Water Ambulance pic shows the preparedeness of the arrangements… Thanks for posting.

Thanks for pointing it out @piyush_Ind

I tried to capture as many descriptions as possible. And again, thanks for appreciating the post. Kumbha Mela 2019 was indeed a huge success. Even Harvard Business School rated the preparations better than FIFA World Cup.
