An abandoned village or hamlet at edge of Jaisalmer this one is actually a favourite of film makers to depict haunted places which this too is believed to be in reality. More than a century old the crumbling structures here are interesting. They depict the building style of the era they were put up. They make a good subject for photos with the stone structure against the background of the desert. Bats abound the place and are a good sunject to photo shoot too. There are no guides around making the place even more eerie. A garden of succulents with weird looking plants complete the experience of visit to a place that can be hair rising due to it’s background and current condition. Apparently the community mass migrated the Hamlet after a tiff with the local ruler and since the place has been going to ruin. The government has belatedly attempted to make a tourist spot out of it through protection and restoration.
