Sharing a few moments from my recent family visit to this incredible natural wonder. As seen in my photos, the giant boulder sits miraculously on a sloping rock, creating a perfect spot for visitors to relax, explore, and take fun pictures. Families and kids were enjoying climbing the gentle slope, sitting in the shade beneath the rock, and striking creative poses as if pushing or holding it up.
The atmosphere was lively and friendly, with people scattered around the site, making memories against this unique backdrop. The surrounding open space and clear blue sky made the experience even more picturesque.
Best time to visit is early morning or late afternoon to enjoy cooler weather and softer lighting for photography. No entry fee, and it’s located close to other historic monuments in Mahabalipuram. A perfect combination of natural wonder, cultural charm, and family fun!
