Kotor is a coastal city of the beautiful State of Montenegro in the Balkans.
These are the leftovers of some pictures. As always to keep space in my phone I deleted the most of the pictures after uploading them on Google Maps.

I adore the small alleys between old buildings…
Beautiful pictures @JacobLED , and the place also.

Thank you very much. Isn’t it @LiliSol ?
I almost spend all my days walking in the old town, I’ve been through every single alley.
So did I in Sevilla and Barcelona in the old town. It gives you an undescribable feeling of how it must be back in that days. Amazing.
@JacobLED tell me a little about the last picture! I love the first picture.
nice Post. Where are the cats?
You remind me some similar places in Greece, Italy, Egypt and Zanzibar. Sometimes difficult to find the way out. A friend of mine learned to drive in a place like this and she can drive everywhere now, hahaha.
Thank you for sharing @JacobLED !
Best wishes!

I had same question with @Ewaade_3A , where’s the cats @JacobLED ? Also, the name of the city is interesting. Here, ‘Kotor’ means dirty in Bahasa.
of course! anyone who can drive here, can drive anywhere! @LiliSol
Zanzibar is an interesting destination while you mentioning it. The streets are more light colored and the alleys more bright but the markets? More Arabic influenced. I haven’t been there yet, but watched a nice documentary once which made me to wish to going there one day.
We say if you can drive in Istanbul you can drive everywhere. I’d like to meet your friend for a crazy drive @LiliSol hahaha
Thank you very much. It was with the group from our hostel. We drove up on a hill where an old prison was. It was stunning up there. Beer and barbeque.
You have to browse the cats on Google @Ewaade_3A I know I was thinking you name your post the city of cats, which is indeed so, but you don’t post a single cat photo. Well, they are all on Maps. But you have cats everywhere in this town. There is even a cat museum, which one I haven’t visited to be honest. 3 liters pf beer costs you about 2€, so imagine the rest.
The last picture, there is a smiley grinning on the door. I like to take pictures of faces on walls. I will post them soon here. Street art and graffitied walls and other objects.
Oh very interesting @NunungAfuah
Kotor means cat in their language.
Wow @JacobLED that’s interesting. I am a cat person, so I must be living there, in Kotor! Lol
Congratulations, great photos!
@JacobLED It’s not far from Dubrovnik, another twinned city of Rueil Malmaison. It looks like Croatia.
Here Korcula island :
Hi @JacobLED ,
Thanks for sharing another great post on Connect.
Below is a photo from Bay of Kotor during my travel with ferry to Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Here is also one of my posts about the city and some recommendations of interesting sites to visit in Kotor, Montenegro.
Thanks for the beautiful photos @Anino
Hello @Anino thanks for completing my post with your cute cat photos. I heard a lot about Dubrovnik and it is almost along the same coast but I must confess this trip was a very low budget trip. Unfortunately the most common thing from travelers who came from Croatia was that it is not cheap. Actually everything. The hostels, food, drinks, activities… I had to decide and moved from there to Albania. I will spare some time to visit Croatia for sure. Let us see when.
hello @NunungAfuah I know you are and I must say the cost of living is not high in Kotor. It would be really an option for me as well
Thank you very much @Eros_Hassen
Thank you very much @KatyaL
I didn’t know that there is a ferry from Kotor to Dubrovnik. We had 2 times a boat tour with our hostel and it was amazing to swim in the middle of the sea. How many huge cruisers were around fascinated me as well. I made some local friends living in the old town and spend an additional week there. I fell absolutely in love with the old town and had my time plan for coffee, pizza, bars and hiking.
I’ve been there into every single church and cathedral. There are spots you can’t find on maps like a beautiful balcony open for the public to chill, or a man who is selling very interesting antique on the street next to a small chapel. Maybe it was also so nice because it was my first sea holiday after a long time.
Zanzibar is a beautiful place @JacobLED , but don’t necessarily consider my opinion because I say that about every place, hahaha. A small and peaceful island, friendly people, good food, superb crystal clear sea and white sands.
A local person borrowed me his traditional costume to take the picture.
And has such an exotic name: Zanbizar, hahaha. Everything is colourful there: flowers, food, vegetation, sea…
I enjoyed Zanzibar.
I hope you will have a nice experience!
Thank you!
