Inspired by our beloved moderator from India @TusharSuradkar ji by his passion to showcase the various clock towers around globe, here I am also posting about a Clock Tower in Kolkata.
Standing tall in the heart of Lake Town, Kolkata, the Clock Tower is a striking landmark, it is also called as Kolkata Time Zone Tower. Its architecture bears a resemblance to the famous Big Ben in London, adding a touch of British influence to the city’s skyline. It is one-third size replica of iconic Big Ben of London. Its height is 30 metres and has 10 floors. Also, it has all four sides clock faces.
Illuminated at night, the tower becomes a focal point, attracting locals and visitors alike. It’s a popular spot and a testament to Kolkata’s diverse architectural landscape.
