Here i’m share some information and photos of one of the most popular Festival celebrate in Gujarat.
" Kite Festival "
The festival of Uttarayan is a uniquely Gujarati phenomenon, when the skies over most cities of the state fill with kites from before dawn until well after dark. The festival marks the days in the Hindu calendar when winter begins turning to summer, known as Makar Sankranti or Uttarayan. On what is usually a bright warm sunny day with brisk breezes to lift the kites aloft, across the state almost all normal activity is shut down and everyone takes to the rooftops and roadways to fly kites and compete with their neighbors.

Thanks for sharing @iDepp ! I use to love flying my kite with my dad and sister as a kid. My favorite is the bright pink kite from the first picture.

International Kite Festival-2018 in Ahmedabad.
The International Kite Festival 2018 has begun in Ahmedabad and the sky is filled with a splash of colours. Gearing up for the festival, enthusiastic participants fly kites of various shapes and sizes. The festival that is held annually, begun on January 7, 2018, and will go on until January 14 on the Sabarmati riverfront. (Source: AP)

Now the concept of kite that I have i.e. four sided shape, is eluded from my mind @iDepp & @NareshDarji .
Thanks for sharing different kites like Tiger kite, doll kite, ring kite etc etc.

Thanks @iDepp for sharing such beautiful picture.i remember my school day we use to have competition in our primary school and higher secondary school .in higher secondary school we used to stay in boys hostel around 1000 student and on kite festival we used to celebrate together .it was good fun. thanks gain @iDepp for sharing.

There is something else I liked in the video @iDepp . 
At first I played the video and closed my eyes.
Then I opened up the eyes and plays the video. Probably you know what I liked.
I was wondering that how these big kites fly but they flied. One kite I recognized there was just like a ‘flying crow’. Its hard to find it as kite if it stands alone.
