@Rakshi2 and @SholaIB

There are actually two lists of languages. One for manually tagging which language you are using here on Connect And the other one is the list of languages available for automatic translations. The second one is the important one. I believe Google Translate is capable of translation to and from the languages you mentioned, @Rakshi2 .

If not, please make the necessary requests in the Google Translate help forum.

By the way having a language on the manual tagging list has no influence on the translations.

Cheers

Thanks for asking, @Rakshi2 .

You are right, the languages mentioned by you are not actually available in the Language Settings in Connect, so in fact it is not possible to have the whole site in your language. New Languages are added time by time, and the Indian Community is very large, so I am tagging @DeniGu to escalate your request to the team.

Actually you can read a post in your language using the translator embedded in Connect, as mentioned by @MortenCopenhagen and @SholaIB , and of course feel free to write a post in the language you like more.

Have a nice evening

EDIT: Of course the selection of the language in Settings will only impact the menu and the commands

Hello, my dear friends, @SholaIB , @MortenCopenhagen & @ErmesT Ji.

  1. “… Of course the selection of the language in Settings will only impact the menu and the commands…”

One main doubt is cleared… Thanks a million.

  1. Adding the regional Indian language - thank you (Ermest Ji) very much for escalating the need to Google Moderator @DeniGu .

  2. And for our @Rakshi2 , he has to use a Text pad to write in Telugu and copy & paste it in LG Connect Editor… Right? Kindly confirm…

Hope, it is clear to Rakshit or contact me in the evening.

Thanks for the cooperation from all.

भाई आपने बिलकुल ठीक प्रश्न किया. मैं यही देख रहा था दुनिया में सबसे अधिक बोली व समझी जाने वाली भाषा हिंदी ड्राप डाउन मेनू में क्यों नहीं है.

धन्यवाद अच्छा प्रश्न उठाने के लिए.

Namaskar,

** @TravellerG thanks for tagged**

I am not going in deeply in conversation, but in my experience when I wrote on connect in my religion language ( Marathi ) I usually write on Notepad of my mobile then I copy paste in connect and then edit and then post…

@Rakshi2 Thanks of post about Hindi language…

hope one day it would be helpful for Hindi & all indian languages users…

Hi @Rakshi2 and everyone,

There are currently no plans to add more languages to the languages available in your Settings on Connect.

As @ErmesT mentioned, the language list in Settings impacts the translation of the different sections on Connect. You can still read all posts in your preferred language by selecting it from the Google Translate drop-down menu. This menu is available in the top right corner of every post page. You can see @SholaIB 's helpful screenshots for reference.

I’ll mark my comment as the solution to this post so it’s more visible to other Local Guides who might have similar requests and questions. If our plans change, I’ll update my comment as well. Thank you all.
