[Kimberly's Tokyo Hanami Trip🌸] #03 The world's largest fish market "豊洲市場 Toyosu market"🐟

Japan lover @KimberlyAnnG, Let’s go to the world’s largest fish market🐟!!

This is the world’s largest facility, and the world’s first facility that has introduced a system that brings a large room to a certain temperature. It is amazing to keep 10.5 degrees surely! Therefore, a huge cooling system is installed on the ceiling of the building.

Toyosu was opened on November 10, 2018. Yes, it was simultaneous with Connect Live 2018!! I got the news from California🤣.

When it was the Tsukiji market, we were able to enter the area of the trader freely. Unfortunately, the Toyosu market is only viewed from the second floor through the window. Still, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the huge fish market enough. Instead, you can study the traditions and history of the Japanese fish market in multiple languages with a number of QR codes! I recommend “DEEP JAPAN”, I think it is more important for foreigners to know why the Japanese tradition has developed.

This is a market-specific electric truck called “Turret Truck”. They have been using EV for 70 years🚚. As car inspection registration is done, Public roads can also be run.

On the other floor are shops that handle equipment used by sushi chefs. It’s a real shop, not for tourists.

In other words, you can touch the real thing! Look, the Katana blacksmith sharpens the kitchen knife!!

Why are there so many types? It is because the knife is changed according to the kind of fish🐟. The reason is that the taste is greatly degraded in the cutting method. This is Japanese delicacy😮.

As fishermen look at fish every day:fish::worried:, their diet chooses meat:rofl:. Tsukiji is the birthplace of “牛丼 Gyudon (beef bowl)”. The most famous birthplace shop opened in Tsukiji has also moved!

Fertility is wide anyway! You will need at least 3 hours.

We moved to Ginza. It is the most expensive city in Japan. There are many flagship shops here.

There is one of tha most famous international flagship cloth store:womans_clothes:. Besides the standard designs you know, there are many limited collections.

Japanese automakers are exhibiting electric racing cars🏎.

It’s Akihabara, a city of Geek where Japanese subcultures gather. Japan’s leading games, PCs, anime, figures, cosplay, maid cafes are called "Cool Japan":star_struck:!!

Today’s meal also had traditional Japanese food. It is the ramen she likes most🍜!! Japanese and Chinese often eats duck meat. This is duck ramen.

And I drank “ミルクセーキ Milk-Seki (Milk shake)” at Tokyo’s oldest coffee shop. This is a less sweet custard drink:tropical_drink::yum:.

We ate ”天ぷら tempura" at the tempura birthplace shop at night🍤.

She will be a little tired because she is on the third day. All the more because she walks with me who can not speak English. So we took a walk around Asakusa near the hostel at night. This ship is called a “屋形船 Yakata-bune (houseboat)”, and a banquet is held inside the ship.

However, we will not forget the Cherry Blossoms-flavored ice cream🌸 even if we are tired:shaved_ice::rofl:!!

@YasumiKikuchi and @KimberlyAnnG I like the smaller portions of food. Our portions in America are huge. I feel like the portions you guys are eating you can have more variety in still have dessert and be reasonably full. please keep posting pictures I’m really enjoying them.

As you say @Twister411 !
Because they have so many specialties, they pay attention to the quantity. Because the tourists’ requests are numerous experiences😋

Hi @YasumiKikuchi

So many interesting things in this day! There are plenty of awesome pictures, which show Kimberly’s journey in details! Especially the fish market is an incredible place. “Turret Truck” is awesome, looks like a robot in movies  I was impressed with traditional kitchen knifes!

I see that sanitary conditions in the market are really stricly observed.

The electric car looks like fantastic dream!:hugs::oncoming_automobile:

I guess @KimberlyAnnG you are lucky to have the best Japan Local Guide!

Great opportunity for you Yasumi-San to practice English with native speaker!

Hi @Twister411 I completely agree with you about food portions! :yum::stew::dango::ice_cream:
