Khari Nadi Gorge - Small Grand Canyon of Kutch District

Khari Nadi Gorge Canyon is just 3 kilometers from Bhuj city on Bhuj Kodki Road. This is one of beautiful Natural site of Bhuj Kachchh. It’s an Unusual site with

unusual geographical features. It is Grand Canyon of Kachchh.

This site is a Natural preserve having hundreds of Very Big Aquatic rocks. It’s about 3-4 stories below land level. Rocks might be built before Crores of Years ago.

Khari Nadi river is not meeting to any Sea and its “Kuvari Nadi”. Thousands of Years ago Khari Nadi was full of River and the Rocks were formed on aquatik maters.

This is one of the best site for Neotectonic study. Gorge is an unusual geomorphic feature in the regions like Kachchh. It shows the youthfulness of the topography.

For More detail and study: See the Journal of Earth System Science article by Dr.M G Thakkar of Kutch University. Apart from this Many Scientists have done research studies here.

Khari River GORGE with Stalactites and Potholes.

Overall its an most beautiful site for Unusual and Adventorous Travellers. But should be visited in Groups.

Hi @viralmvora ,

Thanks for sharing your post. Are these canyons located near by? Did you go there alone or are there guided tours? It reminds me of the US Grand Canyons, quite similar looks. Do you often go there? Please try to share more information about your trips.

Thanks!
