Khajuraho are a UNESCO world ? heritage site. These temples are famous for their nagara style architecture symbolism and their erotic sculptures.
Khajuraho temples were rediscovered in the 1850s after being neglected for centuries. Of the original 85 temples, only 20 have survived destruction and revages of time.
Apart form a number of stories engraved on the walls and windows of the temple. The cravings on the outer walls also have a lot of sculptures from the Kamasutra
Apart from the general knowledge like the year and number of temples, that is commonly available, you are encouraged to share your own experience about the visit.
Include information like how to reach, the best time of the year to visit, parking facility, tickets and photography charges, where to eat and live nearby, for example.
Also, we must not lose sight of the fact that the Kamasutra sculpture is not more than 5% of the total, and should not mislead others into thinking that this is some kind of eroticism. Remember that Kaam is an essential part along with other duties as per Hindu philosophy:
Dharm: Duty.
Arth: Wealth.
Kaam: Desire.
Moksh: Liberation.
