Ketzerbach - beautiful old street of Marburg

Here I have current pictures of a very old street in my hometown Marburg, which bears the name “Ketzerbach”.

It is one of the oldest streets in Marburg and was built in the early Middle Ages.

It is one of the streets in close proximity to the Elisabeth Church and also allows a view on this beautiful, historic building. Where the name Ketzerbach comes from is not completely clear.

Today you can find many great restaurants and beautiful old houses along the Ketzerbach.

The famous blind studies institution of Marburg also has its headquarters here. The blind studies institution is a large school and training center for blind people.

But now, i want to show you this historic street.

Here are my current pictures of the Ketzerbach:

Hi @JacquelineB ,

Thanks for the nice photos!

The city looks really very beautiful and the streets as I can see, are very organized. I love as well such types of streets and always try to find when I am traveling.

It would be very nice if you create this post with your photos. This way it would be more interesting for the other Local Guides. I would like to point you to an article we have that is going to make it easier for posting on Connect - 14 helpful tips for using Connect.

@PoliMC

Thank you so much for your nice words and your valuable advice!

I’m really desperated!!

Really for 2 hours i tried yesterday to post my photos directly on LGC!

But it did not work!

I could not sleep all night because of this problem!

Whatever i did, if always i wanted to upload my photos, i got the report, that the file IMG … jpg. exceed the maximum file size of 3072 K and that i have to reduce the file and try again.

Perhabs it is, because my Pixel loads up all photos to Google Photos in original quality and perhabs they are to big then.

But by posting with my Pixel, i get no possibility to reduce the files!

How can i do that?

It would be my pleasure to post my photos right here, if it only would work!

This issue is very stressful for me, 'cause i want to do all right here!

Warmest greetings from Marburg, Germany,

Jacky

Hi @JacquelineB ,

You can try with writing in Google search for example: resize photos and to choose it online. I hope it will work for you and then to can post the photos that you want.

Thank you, @PoliMC ,

i will try, what i can, i will try it out!

A good friend also gave me an advice:

To install an app on my Pixel, which can reduce the size of my files.

However:

It would be great, if i could soon share my beautiful photos of Marburg directly here on LGC!

I’m looking forward to it!

Much greetings from Marburg, Germany,

Hallo @JacquelineB !

Thank you so much, @PoliMC ,

i installed the app, but could not yet try it out, because my father was for weeks extremely bad.

He died last wednesday in peace at home.

That’s the reason for my late answer now, sorry for that.

When the funeral is over and it’s better with me, i will continue on LGC.

Warmest greetings from Marburg in Germany,

Jacky
