Kepiting Telor Asin And Udang Masak Asam Manis

Hi all, none of you really like seafood as a food that is on the first list if you want to eat outside the home, such as in a restaurant or warung?

If there is, I would like to share a story about my experience of finding a seafood restaurant whose cuisine is champion, the menu too variety and the main thing is the price that is priced really does not make us have to pay a fortune for very delicious dishes.

I was used to seafood from a young age, for it was very hard for me to find dishes that came from seafood in my new hometown , namely Yogyakarta which in fact seafood is very expensive compared to my hometown of Balikpapan, which is famous for its abundant seafood and cheap but delicious seafood.

Last August, after undergoing a period of quarantine and not traveling due to the pandemic, my family and I were very happy when can leave the house even though you still have to run the proto Health cab is strict and compliant, and we are looking for a restaurant for lunch, but because of the pandemicā€™s impact, it is very difficult for us to find a restaurant that remains open during the pandemic.

Until we found a seafood restaurant open, 'Pondok Ikan Dua Puteri ā€™ is the name of the restaurant. The restaurant applies strict health protocols, such as providing hand washing soap at the entrance.

At first I was a little worried about the price, but because I was hungry and this was the only restaurant open, we ordered the Crab Salted Eggs

Kepiting Telor Asin

Udang masak asam manis

and Sweet and Sour Cooked Shrimpā€¦huuum ā€¦ donā€™t ask how it tastes ā€¦ itā€™s really delicious, the prawns crisp up to the shell (I want to visit that restaurant again right now :face_with_hand_over_mouth:) Sweet and sour shrimp are really delicious, the sauce is sweet and tasty  .

And another surprise awaits, namely when paying at the cashier, it is truly extraordinary, the price is very cheap.

So for friends who is in Yogyakarta, please stop by 'Pondok Ikan Dua Puteri ā€™ if you want to enjoy fresh and delicious seafood at an affordable price. You can find on this link for the restaurant https://maps.app.goo.gl/HDM5uRptTaYmhw4G7

This is indeed the most delicious dish I have enjoyed during this tiring pandemic

Thatā€™s my story and hope this great :hugs:

Stay safe and stay in healthy

@AnikSetyawati Thanks for participating in this challenge! Itā€™s been really fun reading all the various submissions!

I too love seafood and sadly they can be very expensive. My favourite dishes are steamed fish with fried garlic/ginger on top (very simple but very nice), crab curry, and butter prawns! You crab cooked in a salted egg looks amazing too!! And Iā€™m sure your deep friend prawn is a win for my tummy too!

Interesting name of the restaurant too and I wonder if thereā€™s a story behind it e.g. it started out as a small shed (pondok) by two female chefs (dua putri)! I had a look at the map listing and itā€™s definitely not what I could consider as a pondok!

Hi Mbak @AnikSetyawati

Thank you for participating in #CommunityFoodFightChallenge and sharing this delicious seafood restaurant.

I love Kepiting Telor Asin. This one looks so much tasty :yum:

Iā€™ve saved Pondok Ikan Dua Puteri on my ā€œwant to goā€ list if I visit Yogyakarta again.

When I was in Yogya, I had seafood for lunch once. That time when I was at Pantai Timang. This is the seafood restaurant : Kedai Lobster Pak Sis . The price is high, especially this one is located in a touristic area. But, the taste is good.

The fun fact is although their speciality seafood menu is Lobster, but we didnā€™t try this one because eating lobster will take so much time. We canā€™t wait to visit the beach
