First of all I would like to thank to the planner of this global event @HelloSamsonR from Nigeria. Also I am very thankful to @Osaka78forTRUMP because of his query I had managed to host a meet up event. I had given my words to @HelloSamsonR that whether I will be able to host a map edit walk or not but I will be the part of an event in anyway (in a group or individually). Special thanks to @HelloJess for approving the event at the crucial moment (I was scared by a sentence that submitted meet ups can take a week for approval but I had only 2 days). Also many thanks to @OSAMA & @mhjn who always played a crucial role to boost up my interaction.
I was already aware that I will be there alone in a road scrolling the screen of mobile and editing the map. In July 22, got up in a regular schedule, prepared food for myself, put gadgets, a bottle of water and umbrella on the bag I moved for walk after the morning meal. I reached the destination at 11:20 AM; earlier than a scheduled time (12 noon). I already had a mindset to start the map edit walk from the UNESCO world heritage site and the holy place; The Pashupatinath Temple (can be seen in the video). The one man community started its work at 12 noon mapping the religious shops around the temple. I spent 2:30 hours hours till 2:30 pm on the map. Despite of changing weather (rainy season is in progress) and dusty roads (broadening of roads is going on in the city) I had continued the mapping till the death of battery of mobile. July 22 being a Saturday was a holiday in Nepal (just like Sunday is holiday in other countries) which gave an advantage of less traffic volume and a bit more free time. The joy of mapping the places and helping the people was immensely pleasant. Also I spent some moments at Buddha Stupa in a way. Later, after the completion of walk, I joined the musical ceremony that uses to conduct in my friendβs home.
I do what I love and I love what I do. As this is the second LG program I have attended (& 1st program I have conducted) I missed my friends from 1st meet up. I feel sorry that because of very limited amount of time I couldnβt interact with all so nicely. Anyway hope to see you all in upcoming events. With the end of map edit walk I am awarded with βgave 5,000 kudosβ badge. Thank you so much all of you for supporting me nationally or internationally, privately or publicly, singly or collectively. Also a hearty thanks goes to all the LGs around the globe who helped from their place to make this mega event hugely successful.
You did a great job @BishowvijayaP so happy to be part of the worldwide event! I guess I can say i officially participated in 2 meet ups since starting at the end of March, well technically really April hahaha
Excellent meet-up @BishowvijayaP. Despite the fact you are a lone ranger in your community, you still bolstered up the confidence to help make an impact in your community and as well registering the pins of Nepal in the Worldwide Map edit Walk. You are great . Nice video and thanks for supporting this Worldwide Map Edit Walk
