Jordan: A beautiful country with the kindest people

I love travelling and from time to time I take small trips to places I had never thought before.

So this time I chose Jordan, which included staying in Amman, visiting Petra, the Dead Sea and the Amman Citadel

Here are some of the photos I was able to get.

Just a note: For your visit to Petra, be prepared to walk a long, long way. In order to be able to see the entire monument, you have to walk many kilometers (about 10), so wear comfortable clothes and take water with you. (Of course you can take the tour on a horse or a carriage, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.)

Yes Petra is an amazing historical place and your post and photos give a great insight on what you will see there @Thanos_Pal . You are right, the Treasury is Petra’s centerpiece monument but there are many there as well as some amazing features like the Al Siq, shown in your 6th photo and the Obelisk Thomb, shown in your second photo. Given it’s desert location it’s just so hard to believe that it was once the center of a civilization. Your post and photos certainly brought back memories.

It was a trip that I’ll never forget. And I definitely want to retake it some time again in the future.

One of the things that I didn’t mention, was the people there. They are the kindest people I have ever met, and I have traveled to quite a few places.

You should definitely visit it. You will enjoy it a lot.
