About James Prinsep:
James Prinsep was born in August 20, 1799 in England, he was an English scholar, orientalist and antiquary He arrived in Calcutta in 1819 at the age of 20 and joined the service of the East India Company as Assay-Master in the Banaras mint. He returned to Calcutta in 1830 as the Deputy Assay-Master of the mint where hh wilson was the chief. In 1832 he succeeded Wilson and remained in the post until 1833 when he had to return to England, being desperately ill. James Prinsep died on 23 April 1840, in his forty-first year.

I was in Kolkata, India on March last year, I have visited Kolkata city. I have a plan this year as well for Agra.

I have visited India Two times, First time it was on February 2002 and Second time on March 2017.
In my first visit was mainly North Side of the West Bengal, it was Jalpaiguri, Siliguri and Darjeeling these three districts.
In my second visit was only the Kolkata city areas; like New Market, Alipore Zoo, Eden Gardens, Howrah Bridge, Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, and Many more places. I have another post on Victoria Memorial.
I will try to share my experiences with others.
