Jain caves at Ellora- World Heritage Site

The Jain caves at Ellora are located at the northern end of comprising caves numbered 30 to 34, and were carved between the 9th and early 10th centuries CE. These caves, part of the last major religious and artistic phase at Ellora, feature intricate sculptures and architectural designs dedicated to the Digambara sect of Jainism. Notable caves include the Chhota Kailasa (Cave 30), a monolithic shrine, and the double-storied Indra Sabha (Cave 32), known for its detailed ornamentation and ceiling paintings.

Most people cover all the 34 caves within three hours. However if you want to full enjoy the stunning work here and appreciate the beauty in depth you need at least three days. One day ( 5-6 hours) for the Buddhist caves, One day ( 5-6 hours) for the Jain caves and One day just for the Kailash temple. You should hire a guide or take a good guide book with you. Only then you can fully understand and appreciate this World Heritage site

@TusharSuradkar Thanks. I have visited it quite often because I used to head Brandand Marketing at Dainik Bhaskar and Divya Marathi with its headquarters at Aurangabad was one of the sister publications i used to head. Last I was there in 2023
