It is Raining Gifts in The Meetups of Local Guides in India

Local guides in India love to host and participate in meetups.

In the past 2 months these were primarily concentrated in Pune and culminating in the Contributors Conversation in Google’s office in Delhi.

Here’s a collection of various badges, cards, stickers, and gift items received by me during the recent meetups.

Remember: Gratitude is the greatest good in human heart.

I acknowledge everyone who have contributed so far.

As labelled, these were gifted by @NERKARAMIT @Raj_Tayade @AjitThite @NareshDarji Bhai, @MerlinThomas @ShailendraOjha and yours’s sincerely - myself

Of this, the big-hearted and supportive Naresh Darji Bhai shared an entire galaxy of multi-colored stickers and badges that look so amazing:

The Starbucks merchandise keychain was gifted to me by wonderful Shailendra Ojha.

I can feel the warmth of friendship and affection in this.

It was nicely wrapped, and the unpacking experience was a memorable one

Thanks a bunch, dear Shailendra for the lovely gift :handshake:

The glass cup was gifted by Raj Tayade.

This is probably a wine mini-cup or meant for a tequila shot :wine_glass:

I will use it for now to consume honey or liquid jaggery that is available commonly in and around Pune.

Last but not least the amazing gifts shared by Google are an icing on the cake.

These include very high-quality sipper bottle, a multi-pocket utility pouch, a nice Google Maps cap, and a lovely laptop bag.

These are not only Google Maps official merchandise, but the quality is also top of the line.

Amazing local guide @Praniketmore lives in a remote place in Maharashtra.

He has lesser resources compared those living in metro cities in India.

But that does not dampen his spirits. Here is his generous collection shared with everyone.

Various other local guides Rohan Mudshingikar also known as Rohan10 on Connect, Ananya Banerjee, Shubham Waman, Merlin Thomas, and Ketan Kangankar have all shared generously with fellow local guides.

Here are some souvenir cards designed, made and distributed by Tushar Suradkar.

Each attendee at meetups gets one of these and they sign it for others.

Local guides then collect such cards as souvenir of the meetup.

A huge thanks goes out to Google and all my friends and local guides who showered these memorable items.

More than items, these are memories collected during the exchanges associated with laughter, joy, and the warm feeling of friendship :handshake:

Until the next meetup…

it’s a small gesture of our conversation coffee (Starbucks).

It’s my hobby whenever I go to somewhere I purchased to one or two Souvenir gift. it’s my hobby,Once a neighbour friend of mine who was the editor of India’s biggest hindi newspaper in Gorakhpur area had written in his newspaper blog that some people turn their houses into Museum. I laughed a lot after reading that blog and then thought, hey big brother, you too.Sometimes even my family members get angry with me because of this hobby of mine. Whenever I look at these souvenir gifts, I feel that every souvenir gift tells a story of India’s pride.

Thanks दादा @TusharSuradkar

That is a handwritten one @ShailendraOjha . Had very good experiences during our tour. It was a 19 days tour. When I read that book I feel I am still touring. I was young and energetic that time.
