Hi everyone!
Always late but I also want to participate in the #CommunityChefChallenge that our amazing Moderators have organized here in Connect!
For this challenge I want to propose a typical Italian
dish that was then exported all over the world
thanks to the emigrants who, together with their suitcase and desire to get a new life, also brought their traditions and recipes with them (even if the mother homeland is far away and only in the heart, with Italian cuisine you fill your stomach with joy!).
Here, this is a plate of gnocchi accompanied with an excellent meat sauce (my favorite combination)!

Everything about the ingredients, the preparation process and the relative cooking can be easily read in this old post of mine: Italian tipical dish : “Gnocchi” !
I hope you have delighted your eyes with this typical Italian dish, and I strongly recommend that you try the recipe or try them the next time you go to eat in an Italian restaurant!
Bye and thanks to all,
David

Hello @davidhyno ,
As Italians we all know that gnocchi mean smile, at least according to our commons saying “smile because mom made gnocchi”
I love them and indeed their preparation reminds me of sweet memories of my childhood, when mom, granma and my aunts were gathering on Sunday morning to cook the family lunch. Such a joy!
In case you haven’t seen it yet, I suggest this interesting post by @Lusianaa , who used Bolognese sauce for a tasty variation on the cannelloni theme: Delicious Breakfast Idea: Spinach and Corn Cannelloni Bread.

Hi dear @TravellerG !
Let’s say that I was only physically absent from Connect but with my heart I always stayed here.
For a few months there have been changes in the family that have meant that there were priorities that unfortunately made me put aside (momentarily) Connect.
Things are slowly resolving but still I always thought about Connect behind the scenes!
Returning to the topic, you can always prepare gnocchi with a side of mushrooms: they are always excellent!
Have a great day,
David

Ciao @Giu_DiB : yes … I also have the same memories of Sundays as when we went to grandma’s to eat her delicious gnocchi!
Thanks for the tag about the post by @Lusianaa : those cannelloni seem really inviting … the recipe then lends itself to personalizing them as well with sausage and mushrooms … just to stay light!
Have a great day,
David
