Hi everyone - I am facing some issues with my Google Map reviews. I have been contributing for a while on Google Maps primarily because I like helping people and also because some reviews have helped me make good decisions.
I recently noticed that my reviews are getting stuck in “Posting” stage for days and three of them are stuck in the “Posting” stage forever.
I reached out to Google support and they said one of the reviews sound liked an advertisement for my favorite restaurant in Luxembourg. Now some others are not getting posted.
I don’t know what is going on. I usually make an effort to take good pictures of the restaurant or food or hotels and write helpful reviews but this is really discouraging me for continuing to write reviews.
Any help or guidance here? Adding screenshots of the reviews.
Hello @umair welcome to the Local Guides Connect community!
All reviews, the text and any attached photos or videos are checked by a SPAM filter. If only a single photo is rejected, the entire review including all other attached media is hidden to the public.
Specially for videos, the verification process can take more than a day, Therefore, as a first approach, remove all attached media and see, if text-only is accepted. If so, you may either re-attach the photos or post them directly to the place listing.
In any case, it would be helpful, if you shared a screenshot of your review and photos here on Connect and a link to the place listing, so some more experienced local guides may be able to provide some tips.

Thank you for the response @umair.
Regarding the links, I meant sharing the links to the listing in Google maps.
I don’t see anything wrong in the text, but possibly somebody else might.
As I said above, I suggest to remove the photos from the reviews and see, if the text is accepted.
When a text-only review is stuck as “posting” for days I think it is worth copying the text, then delete the review, and then create a new review using the copied text.
@MortenCopenhagen The text pasting did not work. I posted a 1 star review of a restaurant I went for lunch yesterday and it went through in seconds. I think the issue is that I am posting many five stars reviews. The solution could be to start going to mediocre restaurants (kidding).
It could be that this place had many fake reviews and hence Google blocked further reviews temporarily. Or the spam filter suspects banned you from reviewing this place.
I suggest you delete this review and try again in a month or two.
