The next few months from November to March will see some of the fattest tuna of the year as fish make their final return to colder water to begin feeding and mating.
In the top photo is of an amazing sushi restaurant in Ishikawa Prefecture serving up amazing seafood. Experience the traditional flavors of purple soy sauce.
Fatty oily goodness of the tuna mixed with the mild aromatic flavors in the soy sauce. Imagine the taste of regular soy sauce then imagine it having lighter more floral enhanced notes of vinegar and smoke.
@user_not_found People living in coastal area like to eat Rupchanda Fish, Poa Fish, Loitta Fish, Churi Fish . Other Sea fishes or foods name I cannot remember right now. We normally prefer to eat fishes found in the river and ponds. Thanks.
Terima kasih @user_not_found . Ikan tuna kurang familiar di tempatku , tapi aku pernah mencobanya beberapa kali . Rasanya sangat enak kok hanya saja jarang bisa di temukan
Once I tasted tuna in Japan, I really have no desire to get tuna anywhere else again. Thanks for the tip with regards to the tuna being fattiest in Nov-March @user_not_found ! I have a layover in Tokyo in December and January, and I’ll make sure to get some delicious tuna while I’m there:)
That’s awesome @iyudhi Make sure to ask for “honmaguro” 本マグロ / domestic tuna. In order for government fisheries to cut corners on overfishing quotas, sushi restaurant are serving imported tuna from places like New Zealand and South Africa. Make sure you ask. Why would you pay premium prices for imported sushi when you can eat the most prized domestic sushi.
Good evening. Thank you for introducing Kanazawa’s delicious sushi. Tuna is my favorite sushi. The sushi eaten with purple soy sauce will make the sushi even more delicious. I sometimes eat sushi for lunch. I will share the photo. Thank you very much. Regard
Good evening. Kanazawa is my favorite city. I love Kanazawa’s beauty, deliciousness, fun, traditional crafts, and various Kanazawa cultures. This is my Kanazawa photo album. I plan to write a topic next time, but I will release it to everyone as soon as possible. Thank you very much. Regard
Hello @iyudhi I remember you mentioning about visiting Tokyo again. Did that happen? I would love to hear your story. I think @NYC_Boyz and @Hikma_F may have visited Tokyo once in their life. Not sure. @DeniGu loves sushi I believe.
@user_not_found Last time I visited Japan was January 2020 for a layover, right before the pandemic. I was hoping I’d be able to visit this year but I guess Omicron has other plans…
