I want to thank Google Maps a lot for giving me such a nice place where i can easily share my travelling experience with the world. I started it a few years ago as a hobby. But i didn’t get any reward. I have no regrets about that. I hope everyone will welcome me.

Local Guides is a community based platform that relies on voluntary contributions from users to help others make informed decisions about places. The Local Guides program encourages users to write reviews, share photos, answer questions, and edit map information. While participants earn points and levels for their contributions, the program is not designed to generate perks.

But yes, Recognition comes through badges, levels, and occasional perks, which are offered based on the quality and consistency of contributions. To be eligible for perks, users must enable perk-related emails in Local Guides settings and remain active contributors.
Participation is entirely voluntary, with the main goal being to assist others and improve the map experience for everyone.

My name is Andijana and I’m a Level 8 Local Guide from Austria with over 8.6 million views on my contributions. I love helping people discover new places, especially hidden gems, restaurants, and cultural spots around Vienna and beyond.
One of my favorite things to share are stunning views — like the one from the 11th floor of Haus des Meeres, where it feels like you’re standing in the sky with all of Vienna below you.
