3. What led me to become a Local Guide: I am a B.Tech student (6th sem) at Quantum University. Living in the Roorkee-Saharanpur area, I noticed that many campus spots and local student hangouts didn’t have good photos or info on Maps. I started contributing to help new students navigate better. Seeing that my contributions have reached millions of views really motivates me to share more real and helpful experiences.

4. My favorite thing to explore: I love mapping university campuses, tech hubs, and local spots in my village where I’m currently working on a school management system project. Since I am very interested in Data Science and AI, I like to find and document places that are technologically advanced or offer a great environment for students like me.

5. Fun fact about me: I’m an aspiring Data Scientist. A fun fact is that I’m building a local website for my community (zuradocs.tech) and I’m always trying to figure out how to use technology to make my village easier to find and navigate on Google Maps!

Hi everyone! My name is Pablo Antonetti, and I’m thrilled to finally introduce myself to this active and curious community.

I am a Level 9 Local Guide from Río Cuarto, Argentina. Today, I’m officially stepping into this space looking to connect with people who share my passion for discovery.

As a devoted street and urban photographer, I’m always looking for that perfect frame that tells a story about my city. My camera is my constant companion, whether I’m documenting local life for Google Maps or exploring new horizons on my bike—cycling is my other big passion!

I’ve been an active contributor for a long time, but now I want to take it a step further by learning from your experiences and contributing my own perspective to this wonderful community.

Can’t wait to reach Level 10 alongside all of you! :camera_with_flash::man_biking:

3. What I love about being a Local Guide: After relying on Google Maps for years, I realized the value of community-contributed data and felt a responsibility to give back. I love knowing that my updates and authentic experiences help others find accurate information and navigate the world with more confidence.
4. My favorite thing to explore: I am passionate about uncovering natural landscapes and supporting local businesses. I specifically enjoy auditing place information—like checking if a small business has updated its hours—to ensure the map stays reliable for the next traveler.
5. Fun Fact about me: My friends call me the “Human GPS” because I’m always the one finding the best nearby spots. While they joke about what I’d do if the maps ever failed, that actually motivates me to make sure every single location is mapped perfectly!

Making a new friend at the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud, Bali! Exploring cultural landmarks and unique wildlife habitats is one of my favorite parts of traveling.

3. What led you to become a Local Guide: Washington, DC is my hometown and I love creating interesting events and experiences so it just made sense to share my favorite restaraunts, bars and venues with others like I was with friends and family. I use Google all the time and sometimes I would find spaces with few or no reviews so I started working on rectifying that so that people could get as much out of it as I do. I try to share the information that I would want to know before I went somewhere new. I also like to answer the questions so that everything stays up to date for people. It also gives me a great outlet to share my food photos beyond just social media.

4. My favorite thing to explore: My favorite places to explore are museums, restaurants and public art because DC has so much to see and do. I am always on the hunt for delicious places to eat, interesting things to see and do and ART!!!

5. Fun fact about me: My mom working in the Smithsonian when I was a kid so I grew up running around the museums. It’s where I fell in love with Art and the Smithsonian. It’s where my imagination was fuels and shaped and nurtured. It’s a major part of who I am and who I’ve become. It’s also where I learned to love the tourists that fund this city and help guide them on what to do when they come ask a local. Google is always a great guide to help aid them.

Nice to meet you @Sunflower . I really enjoyed reading your story and facts about you.
It always amazes me how Google Maps help people around the world in so many different ways. Like yourself, millions around the world actually rely on Google Maps for their jobs and businesses.

On top of that, what truly matters is the continued support from volunteers around the world to make it better. And, to all those great souls behind the scenes, who listen to our feedback, improve and integrate.

Congratulations @Sunflower .. Great to know about you.

Being a foodie, i believe sharing reviews of places help others find the star of the town. and a detailed review on Map can be a saviour for a tourist.

All the best and keeping Guiding

3. What led you to become a Local Guide:
I started contributing to Google Maps almost nine years ago, although I have been much more active in the past two years. My main motivation has always been to help others by sharing honest experiences from places I visit. Whenever I travel or try a new restaurant or local business, I like documenting what the experience was actually like so others know what to expect before visiting.

When planning my own trips, I usually rely heavily on Google Maps reviews along with YouTube videos. Seeing how useful other people’s contributions were inspired me to start contributing more actively myself. If my reviews, photos, or small details help someone decide where to go or what to expect, then I feel I have given something meaningful back to the community.

4. My favorite thing to explore:
I enjoy exploring a mix of things when traveling or even within my own city. This includes restaurants and food spots, beaches and mountains, travel destinations, hidden local businesses, and cultural places. I find it interesting to discover both well-known attractions and lesser-known places that offer unique experiences.

5. Fun fact about me:
I rely a lot on Google Maps when exploring new places, so I try to contribute equally in return. I know how helpful it is to read genuine reviews before visiting somewhere, and I want others to benefit in the same way.

Another small thing about my reviewing style is that I rarely give five-star ratings. I usually believe there is always room for improvement. So if a place receives a full five-star review from me, it truly means the experience stood out and was genuinely exceptional.
