What I love about being a Local Guide: so my Journey as a Google guide started after I left and started my life over again age 33 , my personal situation was not great and I received a healthy diagnosis which lead to me being retired from work at a very early age. Working in education all my life my passion is to learn, teach, educate and to share my knowledge with others so being retired for medical reasons broke my heart. I got advice from my constant at hospital to do something voluntary that wouldn’t put any extra stress or strain on my health it was then I had a think about what I could do and came across Google maps reviews. It is perfect for me because I get to do everything I :sparkling_heart: to do as a Google maps guide by learning about everything everywhere I go then sharing knowledge & what I have learnt to help educate & inform people and businesses etc without the pressure or stress of anything.. being a Google maps guide is really on my terms and knowing I’m not just giving back to businesses and helping them but also helping people in general just means so much to me :grin::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::folded_hands::globe_showing_europe_africa::dizzy:

My favorite thing to explore: EVERYTHING :squinting_face_with_tongue::globe_showing_europe_africa::dizzy:… Having lead a very complex personal life growing up & from a young age I actually have never left the UK where I live , I refer to myself as a hermit crab , I’m just learning to come out of my shell . I became a mother at a young age of 16 and had 2 more children by the age of 25 I was a mum of 3 , I’m 38 now and they are older and I’m now in MY ERA , ready to explore the world on my terms :squinting_face_with_tongue::folded_hands::globe_showing_europe_africa::dizzy:

  4. Fun facts about me:
    :raised_hand: Im left handed
    :dna: I live with a rare chromosome disorder ( it’s genetic!)
    :couple_with_heart: I’ve been married & divorced
    :people_with_bunny_ears: I am a girl mum X3
    :old_woman: I am indeed a grandma
    :briefcase: I have various different other non profit roles where I help & support people & businesses.
    :dizzy::globe_showing_europe_africa: I am a lightworker
