My friends and I recently had an amazing and fun day exploring Kamla Nehru North Ridge in Delhi. We entered through the main gate of Bonta Park and started our journey at the historic Flagstaff Tower, which got us excited for the adventure ahead. The real beauty began when we walked deeper into the forest area, taking a longer route surrounded by nature. On both sides of the road, we saw beautiful greenery and colorful flowers, making it feel like we were inside a cantonment area. But we also noticed many monkeys around. A quick tip: don’t tease them! They can get aggressive and may chase you. It’s smart to carry a strong stick from the roadside for safety because they feared us when we took that in our hands. Our exploration continued as we visited the Old Guard House and passed by the Seismological Observatory. One of the most exciting spots was Khooni Jheel. It has a mysterious history and is surrounded by the serene forest which was a bit scary as well. A little later, we also came across Sarpakar Lake, another quiet and beautiful place hidden among the trees. Both lakes added to the calm and charm of the forest.
We finally reached Bonta Park, also called Jhoola Park. There, we took a break, enjoyed the swings, and relaxed to break up our adventurous trek. On the way back, we also saw another strange old building, which made us curious.
One important thing: we saw a few snakes, and even some dead animals. So please be careful, watch where you step, and don’t touch any wild animals.
Even with a few scary moments, the whole trip was amazing. It is a great place if you love nature, walking, and exploring. Just be careful, and you’ll have a great time!
Do follow me on Google maps as well.
