Hello, dear friends,
June 21st is a unique day where two beautiful worlds unite — International Yoga Day and World Music Day. Both Yoga and Music have a profound impact on our well-being, offering harmony, peace, and healing in our everyday lives.
YOGA
Yoga, an ancient Indian practice, connects the body and mind through ‘Asanas’ (poses) and ‘Pranayama’ (breathing movements). It promotes inner peace, physical flexibility, strength, and mental clarity. This year marks the 11th International Day of Yoga with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health", which echoes a vital truth that personal wellness and planetary health are inseparably linked.
Here are a few photos/Asanas from yesterday’s Yoga Session (photographed by my wife).
The pose is known as ‘Matsyasana’
The left pose is ‘Vrikshasana’, and the right one is ‘Gomukhasana’.
Music
On the same day, we tune into World Music Day, a celebration that transcends boundaries. Music, like yoga, is a universal language. It soothes, energises, and connects us. From classical ragas to modern rhythms, music lifts the spirit just as yoga grounds the soul. The theme for World Music Day 2025 is “Healing Through Harmony”. It shows the power of music.
Our collection of musical instruments, at home; I used to play these instruments, once upon a time…

My favourite instruments that I used for professional performances decades ago.

Together, Yoga and Music form a perfect symphony — calming, inspiring, and deeply human.
Whether you’re stretching into a yoga pose or swaying to a soulful tune today, take a moment to appreciate the beauty of both these timeless arts.
Happy Yoga & Music Day! !
