Indonesia Travel Bucket List Luwuk Banggai 1 : The Beauty of Salodik Waterfall

This time me travels to explore the beauty of natural tourism in Luwuk City, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. Luwuk is a sub-district and the center of government of Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province.

Speaking of tourism destinations that are owned in Central Sulawesi Province, there may be many tourists who are still unfamiliar, so Susur Nusantara Team from the Ministry of Tourism, Pesona Indonesia Travel is working with Explore Indonesia to explore some of the destinations in Luwuk Banggai Regency so that later can be better known by tourists.

After transit in Makassar, the Susur Nusantara Team finally arrived at the Syukuran Aminuddin airport in Luwuk city and will immediately trace some of the destinations located around Luwuk City.

Salodik waterfall is one of them, this waterfall is located in Salodik Village, Luwuk Subdistrict, the distance of Salodik Waterfall from Luwuk City is around 20km, access to this waterfall can be traveled by land using private four-wheeled or two-wheeled vehicles.

This place is right on the edge of the highway and does not need to walk far. This one tourist destination presents the beauty of an extraordinary waterfall, the water flowing is very clear and cold, its location at an altitude of 750-1000 masl makes this place quite cool.

This salodik waterfall has several levels of altitude which are of moderate low and high, in the dry season the water here never dries, the color of the water is clear turquoise and surrounded by tropical forest trees makes this place suitable to be made a photographic spot and a relaxation tour.

In addition, Salodik Waterfall is also suitable for family tourism, where visitors can take a bath or play water, and some public facilities are available here such as gazebos, prayer room bathrooms and some of them.

For the ticket window to the waterfall, visitors only need to pay Rp. 2,000 only per person, this Salodik Waterfall is a must-visit destination if you are in Luwuk City.

How do I become a Local Guides to promote Indonesian tourism (Indonesia Travel Bucket List Stories : Local Guides X Indonesian Ministry Of Tourism)

The name of the program is “SUSUR NUSANTARA” has a special agenda to revitalize the existence of tourist spots in Indonesia that are less exposed on social media. The West Side’s fame on social media is far less than the East side’s fame, where hashtags with locations in Bali, NTB, Sulawesi and Papua are always crowded with posts by local and international netizens.

I along with the team explored 8 destinations that are rarely exposed in Indonesia. I was officially invited to collaborate because I am a co-founder of Indonesia’s largest media on Instagram, @ExploreIndonesia, and also I am an alumni of the 2017 Local Guides Summit who are very active in helping local tourism in my residential areas, Sidoarjo and Surabaya.

Not only that, my job there is to photograph the beauty of the natural, cultural and regional heritage there. But it also helps to update the location with updated points of tourist attractions on Google Maps with the Local Guides program and Street View Trusted Photographer so that it will get maximum results.

My goal for sharing this story is to show my experience when traveling to unique places in Indonesia. And also helps provide insight to other global Local Guides friends. So, I will write my stories through the title “Indonesia Travel Bucket List Stories”.

Hopefully, one day, officially, @ExploreIndonesia and the Google Local Guides program also Google Maps can collaborate in Indonesia.
