Hi Everyone, I am a Avid traveller and love capturing my moments. Today i wanna share some of my clicks taken on a trip to Agra and Fatehpur Sikri. Today i am starting with one of the most beautiful monuments in the world, one of the Seven wonders of the world and also known as Symbol of Love i.e one and only
The Taj Mahal.
The Love story behind building this amazing wonder is as beautiful and memorable as Tajmahal itself.
This immense beautiful monument was built in Agra, India between 1631 and 1648 by the order of Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in the Loving memory of his Wife - Begum Mumtaj Mahal. This enormous beauty is madeup of white marble. It took around 20 years and 20,000 workers to build it. It also has additional mausoleums, Mosque for worship , a reflecting pool and a beautiful garden. Tajmahal is one of the most visited and universally admired masterprices of World heritage.
Most closest airport is in New delhi i.e Indira Gandhi International Airport. In delhi there so many monuments comes under world heritage and It is also known as the "City of monuments " with around 174 monuments.
There are direct train, Tourist buses, Governement roadways buses , Private cabs going to Agra. It take aorund 2 to 3 hours from Delhi to Agra, recently a new Delhi Agra highway is specially built for the conveneince of tourist. If anybody needs any local information about this place or how to reach there. please feel free to ask.
Also, I would request to share your experinces with any heritage site you visited or if your country also has such great monuments. Please share with us. It will be great to know about it.

Thank you for sharing your post with us @Anvika_Footprints , I loved the photos and the much needed details about transportation. Is there a guided tour? When is the best time to visit?
One of my favorite world heritage monuments in Greece is Meteora. The impressive rock formations can take you back. On top of these rock formations, they are built a few of the most important monasteries of Greece.
I am glad my post refreshed your memory . Yeah I have seen that at night there are certain rules. They take only few batches with limited people for about 30 minutes.
Thank you so much and I am glad you liked my post.
In Delhi there are a lot of tourism companies taking tourist to Agra. Agra is so close to Delhi that from Delhi you will get a one day trip. Starting from morning 6:am to 11:30 pm back to Delhi. You can book you trip online also. Also. In that one day trip they include Taj Mahal , Agra fort , which is close to Taj Mahal you can actually take a view of tajmahal also, they take a detour for Lunch , next in return they take you to mathura _ vrindavan. Birthplace of Lord Krishna. A small but beautiful village.
You can visit tajmahal at any time of the year but I would recommend go in winter’s like Nov to Feb. Because in summer it is too sunny , it feels like burning. Reason is that Taj Mahal is made of White marble and surrounded by red stones. It gets warm too much.
If you are satisfied with my answer or you need more information please do let me know.
In my next post I will come up with one more travel story with a great monument.
You know so much information about Taj Majal. The villages Mathura - Vrindavan must be interesting destinations. Places where you can taste the Indian culture. Just as an idea, it would be great if you could share your personal experience about this place too.
I cannot wait to hear more of personal travels. Have a good day.
